Ming Gu Gallery is delighted to present Ta Ta Ta, a solo exhibition by London-based artist Mingzhang Sun, presenting a new series of oil on canvas paintings that reflect on language, identity, and perception. The title references the Mandarin word “Ta” (他 / 她 / 它 / 他们), which can mean “He,” “She,” “They,” or “It” - a linguistic ambiguity that becomes a point of poetic inquiry. Rooted in the principle of No other (无他), Sun’s works emphasise clarity, restraint, and introspection. Subtle yet deliberate, these paintings invite viewers to slow down, observe carefully, and consider how meaning emerges not from assertion, but from presence and attention.
